Stop in for a cup of coffee

Afternoon, folks.

Went to get a haircut in the neighboring town of Alingsås. While I was there, I visited a production company we use at work. The guy who owns it, Leifh, quoted me $12 each for stainless caliper pistons a while back. Anyway, now he's turned my crank pulley down to the correct length. Will be going to pick it up tomorrow.

That will actually be the very last thing I need to be able to start my car.

Well by Monday afternoon the rain stopped and the water on the roads was shallow enough so finally made it to Enterprise. I noticed a Cadillac had just been returned, and I had been told to ask for a free upgrade since I had some problems previously...and Bingo the agent said, "How about a 2016 Cadillac?"

It was a blessing because it was easy for my Dad to get in and out of and it's big trunk held his wheelchair no sweat. He had just gotten out of the hospital but he made it through his wife's memorial service just fine. It's a small town and many friends came to pay their respects. My sister and I took him back to the nursing home but he wasn't even tired so we went out to our favorite Chinese restaurant and had a feast. We had him laughing and he still remembers a lot from when we were kids.

Glad to be back in SC, driving through Atlanta is miserable. The Cadillac was quiet and I only stopped once in 6.5 hrs, that's how comfortable it was. The touchscreen for the radio and a/c was more trouble to use than normal controls.

To me it's clear to see God's grace in action for my Dad.

Good to get the upgrade... :glasses7:

Did you "test" the caddy out a little while you had it??? :burnout:

Glad you and your dad had a good time. We have some good Chinese food places up here also... :D

Thanks Karl, I appreciate it. Such a relief to have Dad safe and being taken care of which was definitely not the case for a while.

Yeah I did open up the Caddy a few times. It was quick to get out there but didn't really excite me. The cooled seats were nice.

Morning Mitch. And anyone else lurking about. Just a drop in. Heart doc today. Just a check up. Anurosim repairs done last year. One on the aorta then one in the leg.

Hope it goes well for ya OMR. Getting old sucks sometimes

Hi guys. Tough one here. Lost my brother yesterday. He was in and out of hospital for years. Just too many things wrong and his body finally gave up.

Sorry to hear Keith. He's in a better place with no more pain and suffering.

Sorry to hear about your brother.

I get to stay home for a few days, to much rain to take the dart out for a ride. Think I'll just open the shop door and let the folks next door with the 6 dogs that bark all the time listen to tail pipes roar for a while.
Still have a few little things to do to the old girl. Replace the head light switch and figure out why the horn blows all the time when I hook it up.

A day in the shop is just what I need!
