Stop in for a cup of coffee

It's supposed to be nice here tomorrow and Sunday. Hopefully I can get the rest of the large piles of leaves up...

Most of them have fallen, just some trees with less than half of their leaves.

This way, I don't have to do as much later when it turns cold and the rest finally fall... I took advantage of the warm weather so far this month...

I am trying to re arrange the garage for the winter, amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in one summer!

My son Matt is buying a house, and moving out of the Garage Apartment. He's takin ALL his STUFF with him from inside the shop. YEAAAA... much more room for Pop.

You fart here I lose power, second to last house on this grid in these parts! Need to make sure I have gas for the generator though.....

In Detroit, the street lights were still on the same grid that Thomas Edison installed, and every time a good storm or wind came, the street lights would be out for 3 days... :banghead:

I think that they finally updated it... #-o

My biggie is where to put new stuff like the engine hoist that is on long term loan and it does not fold up, the blast cabinet, the firechicken, a Monte and the pop in a 48x42 with benches and saws and hops stuff along the three walls! Oh yeah the tractor also!

I will need to do this again this weekend. I got the yard all under control and then the winds came. Needless to say I need to bag the leaves again. LOL Time for glow plugs and oil change on the tool truck. Sounds like I will be busy this weekend. The weather is supposed to be nice.

Mich, How is the weather over yonder today, Marilyn is heading to the wedding sometime today in the FIRECHICKEN! Hope it makes it! LOL

Hey there, Anders, Keith, Karl and TMM

Hey Mitch and you other guys!

Krazykuda, I don't know how to get more fluid into it. It's already full to the brim when I take the filler tube out. I'm thinking the amount in it will be enough to keep it from being destroyed and once it's started, the interior parts of the tranny will fill up and the pan will have room for the next 4 liter jug.

It isn't necessary to fill up the TC before installing it, is it?

Or maybe the PO was wrong and it did in fact have fluid in it when I bought it?

Just jump the lines with a TEMPORARY hose and as soon as it starts add more fluid, you should be fine Anders, the front pump needs to fill the converter. Just do not let it run to long where the tranny will over heat, the fluid has no place to cool off.

I just healed up my leg and got some more the other day... Now more to go...

Plus the neighbors on both sides of me haven't cleaned up theirs, so I will get some "blow by"..

But after this, there should not be that many more to fall...

Here's pictures of the tree carnage. It looks like they didn't get the new pole in, but his power is on which is the most important part:

Fill it to the top line on the dip stick before starting. Then after you start it, go through the gears manually, d-r-2-r-1-r-(repeat a few times each way), then check the fluid and top it off until it's full. That way you get it through the trans better by shifting it through the gears...

I always wondered why they do not make the poles out of recycled plastic with a wiring hole in the middle!

Ironically, my great grandpa invented, patented, and manufactured the necessary components to transfer high voltage electrical wires from above ground to underground and vice versa....

I hate overhead wires, I have a line right over the top of the pond which always makes me nervous while swimming, hopefully when the transformer blew up a few months ago and the truck got stuck in the swamp around the pole the foreman asked me if they could move it. Hell yes you can! There is a pole up on the road sitting there for a few months I think for the job.
