Stop in for a cup of coffee

Im going to dremil that hole bigger. put a rag down there to catch debris. I really dont want to remove the intake again.
 
yikes - - I have to say - there is virtually no way you'll catch everything on a rag when/if you hit that with a dremil.. as much as it sucks, I'd bet you end up having to pull the intake again in the long run anyway... because even if you do somehow catch all the dust etc. - when you go to pull the rag back out.. yea..

Well got the lifter out. Looks like it was bad. Fingers crossed, otherwise another new cam. Used oil soaked rag, not much was needed to clear. I am going to see if I can tell if lobe wiped, but I dont think it is the problem. There was a ton of play on that valve when the piston was at TDC. Only way the cam is the issue is if the centerline was ground down! And the valve was moving, cant believe the back side of that lobe was worn. and the face of the lifter is pristine.

Busy day today getting ready for the big move into the new house. Only 1 week to go. I installed the closet organizer system in the MBR closet and spent a little time in the Dart Cave with the GTS.

So much I want to do on the car but I gotta get moved in first. So I appeased myself this evening by finishing Photoshop adjustments on one of the photos I took of her in late fall before the madness of the house purchase began...

Thanks! I really liked that pic when I took it but it was too dark and not enough detail.

I'm really exited about the new house, but I agree...moving sucks. There just isn't a good way to do it that isn't painful. We've been doing a some of it slow-motion over the past few weeks while the interior painting and carpeting gets done.

The big move is next Friday when the moving crew shows up. 2 trucks, 5 guys, 6 hours. The price is good but it's going to be a loooong day since after they are gone I have to get 3 bedrooms set up for the night and start organizing life all over again.
 
Coffee is on me today. Filled the 100 cup urn, enjoy. I'm off on an adventure. See you folks next week.
 

Looking forward to it. Will be nice to have the shop door opened to work, better light in there then, my ceiling lights are to high.
 
The new VA rep seems to be a good guy, we were brainstorming yesterday and came up with a few ideas. Marilyn actually kinda like him so that is a plus.
 
Probably cut the tops out of those VC's today. New rockers won't be here for a week or so though.
 
They came quick. I sold a set of sb ones a while ago to a guy for the same thing.
 
What sucks I need to get a 30% rating to get what I need and the way they rate you is screwy, I have 10 so 90 to go then you get another 10 out of the 90 so that is 9 si0 then 19%. ETC. Boy they make it hard.
