Stop in for a cup of coffee

Gotta go pay some bills guys..... Be back later. And, No , before anyone asks, just mine............

yea, I was in mine last night because I was trying to weld the console brackets in the coronet but that is one tough job when there is nothing to go on measurement -wise.

The car was not an original console car and I am finding that the floors on all these cars are different and a measurement that works in one car is off in another.

I have to grind one of three brackets out today and move it over like a 1/2 inch. AGHHHH

but I ran out of wire so have to go get some more today

I HATE running out of wire!

Always tack weld and check fit...

yes .....its all tack welds that will grind and break easy.

what I am using to measure is I have a GTX round back that is a factory console car but I am telling you ....these floors are all different.

The GTX measurements do not work and on FBBO there is a thread with measurements from a satellite and those are different yet again.

So I am just eyeballing this, basically

nice - I'll have to see about getting some.. I don't hunt but have family that does - they are usually pretty tight with the stuff though... bastids

Yeh, I used to have a few hunters supplying me. Nothing lately. Not sure if everyone is hoarding it or just not getting any. I think most are doing more drinking and less hunting at 'beer' camp.

If you attach the brackets to the console and set it in place would they be exposed enough to tack them?

seems to happen when you least expect it

its either you run out of wire or gas which is never good when working in the middle of the night like I usually end up doing

I finally broke down and spent the cash for 2 spools and an additional bottle. Now if i can just replace as i empty and keep my backup ready, I'm good to go..

problem there is a B-body console is plastic and a lotta flexible and I don't have the 4 speed console yet so I cut up an auto console to use as a template but there is a bit of guess work going on. #-o

I am trying to get the brackets in now so I can paint the floor ...
