I do like that ride. I have a 73 swinger but it got smacked in the rear. Way pricey to fix. I'm hunting for a 73 swi ger or sport (dirt cheap) to redo alo g the lines of what Ddaddy put together. Ran across a few so far but deals keep falling through cuz I'm a tightwad. I'm patient. I'll find it.. then I'll have my own Tikemobile..

Don't sweat it. It's part of parenting. Just try to be consistent with them. In the long run, it works out great. Sucks butt getting through some of the crap tho!

Yeah, teen years.
My daughter is 11 now and I already see the cracks showing. I try to make a point of checking her homework every night. If it doesn't pass me, it doesn't get passed in.
I know I will have to become even more vigilant as time goes on. I really don't want a second job of being her at home teacher...but I know that I have to if I have any hope of getting her to toe the line.
I absolutely must teach her that I am far more patient, vigilant and enduring than she can possibly imagine. I must be the rock that will not be moved. One sign of weakness and she will take full advantage. It's what teenagers do (it's what I did) and I cannot let anything slide...not even an inch.
The advantage I have is that I was a teenager before...she's just doing it for the first time. If I could think it up, so will she. I just need to cut her off at the pass before she even knows I'm there.
It's a battle (friendly one maybe) but it's serious business. I feel that I have to focus on it with all the capability I have just like I would building a multi-million dollar manufacturing plant at work. My reputation and future is on the line...because it's all hers.
