Stop in for a cup of coffee

relief!! I just got off the phone with the machine shop I brought my motor to - seems like my obvious displeasure with the lack of anything being done last week paid off - it looks good and will be getting new bearings and a cam... whew.. I really thought I was going to be telling the guy to forget it and going there to take my motor back...

I hate that feeling, you hire someone to do what they do, it shouldn't be an ordeal to get them to do it! And if there's going to be a delay, a simple phone call.

Well it was nice seeing everyone :glasses7: I had better get some steps in :toothy1:
On the weight loss thing some are doing, I have not had bread in three month and dropped a waist size, doc said that is what puts most of it on so I quit eating it as much as as I can, I am know a 192 lb 5'8 59 year old, lost pert near 20 lbs in the last few months and looking to drop down to 180 by summer... Good luck and don't eat more then the size of your fist, and pick good raw foods to munch on :glasses7: we can enjoy more beer if we do :color:

Everyone have a groovy day here :color: Time to get my hart rate up :glasses7:

Hope y'all have a great day together!

Thanks for the info on bread. I can pass up bread mostly but garlic bread is always welcome! The bad thing is I eat bread at work. For some reason, the fancier the restaurant, the more determined the chef not to give ANY food to the dining room staff. So the only thing to grab when your energy fades after a few hours is bread.

While there's no excuse for your server to be irritable, he or she might just be very hungry!

I'm caught up and everyone's gone... :violent1:

Hi Karl, that's how I usually feel, my schedule is out of synch with everyone else's.

I have a young guy who was a computer expert in the Army coming over to show me a few things. I found these cool wireless headphones that have a SD card and I need to upload my Dad's favorite music so he won't be so bored in the nursing home. Keep your fingers crossed he takes to them.

yes indeed - I was kinda "pissy" about it yesterday, feeling like I had wasted two weeks and all - - MUCH better mood today O:)

this here thread runs hot and cold SO fast.. from intense din to crickets in 2.2 seconds flat...

It's good to hear what everyone is up to this morning. For one thing, hearing about your snow makes me stop feeling sorry for myself. All I have to do is imagine a few inches of frozen white and suddenly 50 degrees and raining looks pretty good! Might be a good time to go clean the shop so I can get more work done inside.

That's an interesting looking coffee maker...

It's a Vesuviana, Italian design made in the 50's - 70's. Simple, elegant, and seriously makes the best cup of coffee in the world.

There are electric and stovetop versions, in 3, 6, or 9 cup versions (which equals 1, 2 or 3 modern cups) and the electric 6 is the perfect coffeemaker for the shop.

They show up often on ebay in the $50 range. The smaller one is rarest and makes the best coffee, medium is common, large is a little unusual. There are later versions (under the Salton name) which include a milk steamer but don't bother as this reduces the brew capacity by about half. You can get replacement seals here: http://www.orphanespresso.com/Vesuviana-Espresso-Maker-Parts_c_322.html

I never ever drank black coffee until I got my Vesuviana, now it's all I drink.

Why would a couple of corn dogs put me to sleep? I'm nodding off just setting here. Time for a 5 Hour. Lol

Good afternoon from Dayton international airport. Got two hours before the plane starts boarding so I'm going to check out some of the threads I haven't been keeping up with.

you are right ...I didn't say that.

I went out today and lifted the hood and took a good look at my slanty and I take it back....

Good job. My slanty felt a bit slighted by your comment. She started drinking early this morning trying to erase the memory of those harsh words.. Now that she's had a taste of alcohol, she's hollering for injection. I may have to shave her head instead...
