Stop in for a cup of coffee

So we are boring egh isn't there a toilet to clean somewhere Airman?

Kind of nice not having a sergeant around most of the time. I'm usually the highest ranking idiot here so I get to do the delegating.. But I also get all the ***-chewings when it falls apart....

Good morning. Speaking of bosses, ours wasn't there last night, a rare treat. He tortures us with his long "win one for the Gipper" speeches, ridiculous analogies and misuse of words. Or he'll blow up then later come put his arm around you and apologize.

Sounds awfully familiar.... Ain't bosses fun???

Well I think all the gauge tester parts are on order, should be pretty cool can hook up in the gar using 12v or a internal battery. Full, half and low select and a variable sweep. All the parts should be around 30 for each one (battery included) Ha!

Wonder if trump is going to pick Palin for VP? That would really shake things up a bit.

No Idea why I even thought of that Just saw The Donald on the news. Imagine working for him?

Will that work out of car? In car that meter takes place of sending unit right? So the voltage is still coming through the cluster regulator. My understanding is that is about 5 volts pulsed DC. But out of car..will you be able to provide voltage to test just the gauge? Or do you still have to test it in the cluster?

Have a 12v battery and a 5vdc regulator in the box to supply the power or use the cars 12vdc. I actually thought this out a bit. Found a 12vdc battery and holder. I think it is a 23a battery. The reg can be switched on or off if you want to send it through the cluster. It will not pulse.

Don't know how it matters, but remember seeing a thread on modding gauges to use electronic regulator.

From what I can find if it gets 5vdc it is good unless there is something I am missing bet there is seems to easy to do.

I have a spare voltage limiter I will have to check it out and see if it opens and closes like a flasher kind of sort of.

Now just have to wait for the parts to come from china! Miss radio shack! Or fry's electronics on the west coast.

Hey I had a rub on the front drivers side tire in a hard turn that was a pia to figure out why. Turns out to be the poly strut rod bushings are thicker then the rubber ones! Oh joy!

yeah they are - were you able to get them to torque spec? that is why they sell those "performance" units - they are longer than stock and expensive!
