Outdoor shop??? We just call that a driveway here...

LOL. I built a small building to put tool boxes and parts in, with a roll up garage door on it, with a concrete slab in front of it. My lift was supposed to go there but it did not work out. I have a cover over the area. this is behind my wood shop, which is in a 30ft by 30ft building.

That's where I work on mine. Wife parks in garage over winter. Last few years I kick her out and take over in spring. Use the garage for stuff I am working on. Nice to spread out parts boxes so I can find things and don't need to put it all up my a__ at end of day or if weather turns.

Squishy... That's hilarious. A guy that used to work here would drop some of the biggest logs ever and would never flush so the boss could walk in on it. Was funny once or twice, but that **** got old fast. Oddly enough, there was never any paper in the toilet.. Not sure he even wiped...

I once found a "big log" in one of the toilets in the dorm in college. I mentioned that someone dropped a huge one in the bathroom and didn't flush it.

Our friend, Brian, said, "That was mine. It was 10" lone (a keeper), you don't flush those because you have to save them for everyone to see..."

I mentioned that there was "no paperwork"...

He said that he did that in another stall so as not to cover up the "catch of the day"....

Wife's ride lives in one side of the garage. I get the other side.. I got so much crap stuffed in there that it's a PITA to do anything. Got to move out the wife's ride, get everything i need to use out, work for an hour or two, then have to spend another half-hour putting everything away and cleaning up... I need a shop really bad...

yikes... we negotiate everything - except the garage - one word.. MINE. The Scamp, the Harley and my tools - I do end up having to clean snow off her car in the winter though - totally worth it.
oh - my truck is outside too.. so

I put my foot down and told her 'THE GARAGE IS MINE'. And then I went out and pulled her car in and neatly arranged her household appliances and shelves of silk flowers so that she could access them easily in the garage. Ain't sharing wonderful??

sure - wonderful - until it interferes with what I want... LOL j/king - I feel for ya.. sounds like it's working out perfectly... :D - hell, I bought a car trailer and still didn't give up any of MY garage..

She had kinda **** all over the idea of building a 24X30 shop in the back yard. Didn't want 'some damn metal building' in her back yard. I showed her the plans that actually had nicely colored trim and some greenery planted around it. I think she has finally relented. It'll be sometime next year before I drop the cash to build it tho. And I know it's gonna be too small, but it's about all the room I have without being a 'super-shitty' neighbor.. The joys of living 'in town'. I need to be out on some acreage somewhere...

Thanks but I am sure I can handle it I have a 2 year degree also. Plus worked in avionics for years. Just a bunch of resistors and a potentiometer to vary for other resistances for other vehicles, and a step down to 5vdc for the use of a internal battery. Should be easy.

Let me know if you need some extensive burning-things-up experience. :D

Anders parts easy to get there? They just closed the local chain here so online is where I have to get everything. Miss Fry's electronics in Cali.

Electronics? To be honest, I wouldn't know. I only ever order online. I don't really do stuff at home, only at work.

There used to be a good supplier in Gothenburg, 40 minutes away, but they closed maybetwo years ago. The mother company in Stockholm still has a shop, I think, but they're really an online distributor. They still have their original DIY customer base but they aspire to be a major player with the production companies. Hence the closed outlet in Gothenburg.

There could be some more obscure shop in Gothenburg but - like I said - I wouldn't know.

yea, the one I would like to get is about 6k.. needs to be big enough for the HD and some pieces-parts storage, plus the lawn mower.. not coming anytime soon for me either
