Now I just need to replace the spare hold-down threaded rod. Somewhere in the past 47 years it got stripped. I probably need to replace the wing nut too.

Thanks for the memory! My dad every Christmas would buy a bottle of Mogen David Blackberry Brandy. He would give me a small glass once every year to sit down and sip with him... Man I miss that. I havent had it now for about 5 years. I may have to pick a bottle up! Seriously thanks for triggering that memory!!

Nope, they are completely worn off to the inner core diameter, no actual threads left where the wingnut reaches home position over the spare. Needs a replacement rod.

My wife and I stopped at a guys house that had this sharp 37 Plymouth sitting in his yard. I said I used to know this guy years and years ago. So we stop and talk he and I cars the wives of course weddings and women stuff. She gets back in the car and says...you didn't tell me you were the best man in their wedding! I said what? Yep she even showed me a picture....I REMEMBER NOTHING OF THAT!
