Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have 3 on the shelf (refrigerator) waiting for an emergency in one of the drivers.
I can't remember EVER having a starter go out on me. I went mini on my 360 build for Victoria, the same starter I used on the slant six. Love what ma Mopar did.

Starter failures used to be common when these cars were first aging but after the mid-late 80s, failures in the replacements dropped drastically as electronics technology got better.

I've never heard of a new mini starter failing.

Thanks guys. Looking at parts, it'll cost me nearly as much to return my current as to buy a'new' mini. I'll go mini... And since I'm kind of a nerd, I'll probably redo the fatty and sit it on a shelf..

You're going to sit on a shelf??? #-o

The tour guide in the time machine... :)

My time machine is sitting in the garage... It has a few bugs to work out... It only goes forward in regular speed....

But I'm working on it... I think the problem is in the transmission.... Or the flux capacitor....
:toothy1:

Looks like the torque is going to be strong down low....perfect for the street, Ramie. Boy, I wish those dyno guys would go down to 2500 RPM.... For sure, let us know the seat-of-the-pants results vs what you had in the engine before, and the 'before' and 'after' of the builds. I think this comparison would be of great value to everyone.

That's been bugging me. Why don't they?

Is it worth rebuilding a 73 starter? Is there a kit available (brushes, solenoid, washers\clips).... Or should I just get a new\rebuilt mini starter?

Hey, I have a set of coals I won't be using. And I could probably knock out the new bushing I put in but never ran.

I could mail them to you if you want. They're really just sitting.

Well, we know there is at least some truth to E... I am guessing if its one of these it is C . Although, I actually thought it was Mac

That's awfully close to your shed/garage. But I guess moving it would entail splicing the cables. Not a preferred move.

The old pole was closer. I think it was already there before we built the garage in 1984...

It's actually a little farther away than the old one was...
