I'm not sure i could lay down that color paint and have it look worth a **** tho. I think I'll opt for a lighter color that may be more forgiving to amateurness..

What headers are you going to use? I have the tri y's and they are good for me so far.

with the GTS, I'll be able to use pretty much any big block header. He recommends officially to use Tri-Ys or TTIs but I do know B/E body 440 headers will clear if I run a mini starter since I'm not running a Z Bar

Sounds like the 408 in my 78 W200, i can usually make it into town but I have to fill up to get back home....7 miles to town, 15 gallon tank.......

Do the mini starter you will not regret it you will not believe how tight it is. I used the whole Schumacher install kit and like it just do not under cut the /6 ear or you will regret it.
