Still haven't been able to start the GTS... I'm down to thinking.. something is wrong with the Pertronix unit..
Did you hit it with 12v and see if it sparks>
Thinking I am going to leave it the way it is incase someone sharts in a thong.
Looks like it had spark everywhere ,, but I think it looks a little weak. Pulled all the plugs and cleaned em, and let the engine dry out . Put 12vts direct to the coil...Runnin out of options...

Did you check the spark on one of the plugs to see if it is weak? The unit should just tell the coil to spark a weak coil maybe?
Want a easy way to check any dizzy?
I struggled with my old truck and so I had to start from scratch and found that the points were not set correctly (not me) I know you don't have oints but the point is ...start from the beginning. It will be something small

Switched a coil yesterday.... I'm gonna dig out the dist for the 70 Cuda and see if its points,, and try it. Or if its electronic... I'll pull the dist in the car and change it back to points to see if the Pertronix is bad... Don't really know a way to test the Pertronix
Loosen up the dizzy and figure our where the rotor is pointing, then rotate the dizzy back and forth the wire area if it does not spark something in the dizzy if it is getting input power. Get it? Hard to explain.
It's just a weird deal.. Car started and ran fine about a month ago.. Now all of a sudden BOOM... No go...Gremilns I guess...
Just looked up the pertronix, looks like it is a magnetic switch, cecl the two wires from the pickup with a analog ohm meter to see if they are closing when cranked of use a feeler gague on it to close it.
Ha,Ha... I want to go hunt... but I know I'll just be sittin there racking my brains all the time about no start...

Stupid question you are testing with the key on and jumping the starter sol and it has some spark?
