Looking at nearly a billion dollars worth of stuff on that ship!!!

There have been IEDs in the US for a very long time. Remember the Unibomber, Oklahoma city Federal building, World Trade center garage, etc, etc, etc?

There have been bombings in the US for over 50 years.
