Stop in for a cup of coffee

damn - it catches up to you doesn't it? I typically sleep in on a Sat. morning because I tend to get only 5-6 most weekday nights

I was just checking the forecast here - they are saying an inch of rain tomorrow, with the known H2O issues we have here I am going to stay home today and do some preparing... this may well be the first good test of the landscaping we had done...

drainage issues?

drainage issues?
big time - Ray calls it lake Scampy... it gets so bad in the back yard that I have been out there with 4 sump pumps going trying to keep up with it. We had a landscaper in this past Oct and redid the back yard trying to force the water away from the house. Essentially what happens is, once the ground freezes and then it rains, the water builds up out back and once that "puddle" gets big enough to reach the house the water finds the warm unfrozen foundation and in it comes... it can get ugly if I don't stay ahead of it.

oh wow, french drain?

layout here really doesn't make it feasible.. water doesn't flow uphill so good and the side of the house where it would have to be has our leach field

there are water stains on the walls in the basement - someone previous to us allowed it to flood - that line down there is at least a foot up... not happening on my watch!

so yea, that's my day - snow removal to allow water to flow... maybe take the tree down.. beer and maybe some extra curricular activity...

I am up a little early today for my new schedule (ten to 5 here)

I don't see another day off till this coming day before Monday :steering:
