Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
The 440 block that was potentially screwed by another shop, I've gotten a couple mixed opinions on its condition so I'm paying for a good one with all the fancy tools checking it

Let the guy that I recommended in Michigan take a look at the block, he'll tell you if it's ok or not.. He worked in the factory that MADE THEM when they were being made, and he's a good machinist... If he doesn't have the right machine for the job in his garage, he's got connections to get access to one to get it done...

Boy I'm getting nowhere fast this morning. Went upstairs to refill my coffee and the wifee caught me. She apparently needed to unload about the past week at City Hall. What a zoo!

Who needs cable when you get that many channels without a rotor. I only watch a few of the dozens we get anyway. What networks Hoppy?

I've got a pretty good looking antenna on the end of the garage probably 30' up. I need to hook it up.

The only thing I do not like the rotor has a button you hit and you really do not know where it is pointing.

The dog is farting me out.... :BangHead:

(Or is he out-farting me???) :icon_fU:

He's a good ten feet from me and I can smell him from here.... :wtf:

Well, just realize that it's not directed AT you, she just needs to let it out... Just listen and let it bounce off you, don't take it personally... Let her unload on you to get it out of her system.... :BangHead:

Oh, and .... Good luck with that.... :p :poke:

We had a rotor on our tv antennae back when we were kids. Dad just found where each station came in the best and marked it on the dial. Then we just moved the dial to the station that we wanted to watch to get the best reception...

LOL I'm all about our little discussions. It keeps me in the loop and I get a chance to give her ideas. We're a team.

Is it a HD antenna or an old analog one?
A lot of them are the same thing. I think some may have improved the connections. Biggest difference is with digital over air, it is all or nothing. Sometimes you will see a little 'pixelating', but usually the channel just drops off if the signal s week. Better cable and connections all the way through can help minimize losses.

I paid $99 for mine years ago. Then at Christmas time my neighbor passed away. They are cleaning out his "stuff" and he had 2 like mine. they need a little repairing but I drug them home.

I have an amp on mine. It cost $12. You see I have no cable out here on the ridge. I tried the dish but it didn't work when the weather got bad and there is no other time I watch tv
