I want to cc the piston/depth on this chebbie engine I got. No published info on the pistons as far as volume goes so I'll check it in the bore. Pretty cool way to do that in your article. Never would have thought.
I can't say much, used to keep a Harley in the house

I played with wallace racing calculator and it would seem I could enter the cc's in as piston volume and come up with the correct #'s????????If you need any help doing the calculations, let me know...
Just find the head volume of the combustion chamber (with a correct spark plug installed), the head gasket thickness and diameter of cylinder, and the bore and stroke of the engine, and how far the piston is from the top of the block at TDC...

Makes sense, when I get some numbers maybe hit you up and see what you think. it's a 5.7 chebbie and I'm wanting to put 305 vortec 58cc heads for my boat. If the numbers hit 9.5 or so probably find other heads. The thing I don't like about those on line calculators, is you don't know what assumptions they are using for some values... I like to go through the math myself so I can see how each bit contributes to the final number and so I can make sure that it's accurate. ...
Well, it seems like we are the first two in the coffee shop this morning...
Happy hump day....
LMao the camel one is hilarious. I have never seen it before.
Lmao, I'm an insomniac so I'm usually lurking when you pop in "first" lol
I hear thatIt's easy for me to be first, I'm getting off work...
i need time to wind down....
I ordered a 6 pack of the little funnels because I'm sure they'll be the first things to disappear. lolYep, I ordered a few because of the shipping...
It helps to have a spare or two when you misplace one....
Now try to find a small funnel, the one that I got from Bed Bath and Beyond, they don't carry any more....

Well, they were like a buck25.Six pack is so fitting...
Like a six pack of beer, or three carburetors.... Why not a six pack of funnels...
Well, they were like a buck25.

Now you just go to the hardware store and get a few pieces of 1/4" thick plexi glass... One for each engine that you will be checking, and one or two in case you mess one up...order 1 cylinder and one funnel was like 4.90 and 7.75 shipping lol

when you drill the mounting holes in the plexiglass, the larger drill bits tend to grab the piece and/or make large chips, so you have to clamp it down and go carefully with the drill. Gentle pressure and test which speed it likes best.... Be patient... I've cracked corners off when the drill bit acts up....
I'm thinking a unibit
Ya got's to hold your tool properlyThat may work....
And how about a "that's what she said"...![]()
