Stop in for a cup of coffee

probably go to Best Buy for a laptop today. They have an HP on sale for $200. 4GB RAM and 500hard drive. Low by what's available, but should be good enough for what I need.
What are you wanting to do with it? Browse the internet? It'll do fine for that but any advanced programs or games, the 4GB will not work right

two hundred bucks!? so what doesn't it have... that's crazy cheap - Win10?
Ram.

It'll be fine for surfing the web or the Microsoft office type programs. But anything more advance than that these days requires 6-8 GB of Ram minimum

@Ddaddy look at what followed me home yesterday

And you may be able to plug in more ram. Larger capacity ram or expansion slots.

That will be in the pile of junk you are looking to clean out in 20 years...
So true, I just pitch it if I have not used it on 10 years, the wife just puts it on the go through pile! Just like the exercise equipment that was used a lot as a clothes rack!

I looked it up. It is upgradable. BUT, it does not look like there is an access door(like the one I just destroyed, lol) You need to take out about 20 screws and pry the case apart. I won't be doing that at least till its beyond warranty. Besides, I could probably go to a higher model for the cost of the higher RAM board. I think it only has one slot, so you have to buy the 6 or 8G board not just plug in an adder 2 or 4.

I just decided to get off my lazy *** and tackle one pile of **** at a time. Cleaned up and sold the sbp brakes. Got the casters off the workbench and on the stand. Today I'll dig out one more piece of crap and see shat to do with it..

hey Ray - I found a Buss GJV 2 all metal tin and a AGC 30 that has the plastic base yesterday and a points condenser that looks new - yours if you want them

I did some storage wars stuff a few years ago - all the big stuff was easy to sell off - it's ALL the smalls that are killing me.. and I mean UGH
I was pretty good at accumulating my own crap and then took in a lot of my brothers and dads stuff. Gonna have to pick and choose what is really 'special' out of that and the rest needs to go.

and there in lies the rub - do yourself a favor - don't ask the better half for help - NOTHING ever gets tossed out!

I've started at it that way. But have come to the reality I will be a seriously old bastard till I get done that way. I need to just jump in and go nutz on it. :realcrazy: :mob:

I am Hoppy , so Hoppy, did my first 100% dizzy yesterday came out freaking perfect!
Agreed close friend had a nice distance. machine. Sold it. Didn't even ask me if I wanted to buy it. I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat. Some friend huh. Rant over. Lol

Stupid spell check.

Right but for the cost of the board, may as well do it now

Already put it to use in the shop as a trash can. which we needed.

My HP has just one slot as well. To up the Ram, I have to buy a new board. I have 8GB Ram and a 1TB hard drive. I paid under 400 for mine mainly cause the graphic card isn't great so when I try my autocad software, the graphic card gets very hot cause it's working at 100% capacity

Lol I am really digging it, actually had a set of the old points float, always heard about it but actually witnessed it, cyl 6 and 5.? really is no position on the machine except for next to each other, the spring on it was weak.
