Stop in for a cup of coffee

well - switching that booster sideways is going to be fun... first try pushed it too far to the left and it hit the rollbar front frame brace... doh :BangHead: - didn't see that coming. Second try got it in closer but still too far left - well :wtf:. So it seems the best I can do (if I do keep my current booster) is to redrill the original brackets to move it all 1/2" left - the problem with that is that where the holes need to be doesn't allow enough room to turn the nuts - ah nuts this is :bs_flag:!! SO, because the car is disc/disc it appears I do need the larger booster (right??), I am going to buy an aftermarket bracket set and make modifications to that - this way if it doesn't work I will still have the unmodified original pieces that I can go back to.
Oh Chris @dukeboy_318 - cool stuff with the Hydroboost and all - but ya gots ta have power steering... :steering:- - which I do not.

I grabbed up those choke levers and the two rebuild kits - gave the guy $50 - from the sounds of it (per Ray's advice) I'm thinking I'll be lucky to break even - of course!! :wtf::BangHead::mad: suckma

Is it possible to enlarge the holes just enough to raise it without causing other issues.

I'm just hanging out here in the garage having a few beers and basking in the sparkle of the new wheels and tires...I can't wait to get them on the car!

No..... you just need a power steering pump or an electric driven power steering pump.......

Evening, I have a geared head stand. Works well but a bit inconvenient because the head doesn't separate from the gearbox. You must use a cherry picker to mount it. Great for assembly though. The front wheels are also narrow enough to get in between the cherry picker legs.

I like the geared engine stand! -though it must be a nuisance to store too... ? I have a regular ol' 4 wheeler and a fold away hoist

Why do you think you need a larger booster with disc/disc? You should see the little booster on my SRT with Brembo 4 piston discs on all four corners.

You can run all wheel disc without power assist at all. It's all in the master cylinder bore and proportioning valve.

Or add a vacuum canister. If your worried about it.

Agree. I used everything off the 06 charger in my cuda. I haven't driven it yet but it all worked fine in the donor charger.

Now that's a MANS engine stand.

the final product is an engine that sits a bit too high for me .....almost puts me eye level with air cleaner.

which is good if you are a tall guy

I can get around it, same how I get around everything else in life ....with a step stool or mini step ladder.

as far as the original problem ...I did the only reasonable thing there is to do in life when you have problems ....WELD IT!!

the weld filled in the wider gap on one side and made it solid as a whole

now I can tighten the bolt underneath and it doesn't lift a front wheel off the ground as it tightens........really the bolt underneath is useless now because it shouldn't come apart.

very nice stuff - why aren't they on the car?
The question has been asked?

Well, 2 reasons.

First is I don't have a floor jack. I gave away the one I had in Memphis and my last house had no garage so I haven't bought another one...yet.

Second is that I need to replace the front wheel studs from doing the front disc brakes last spring. In order to keep the 14" factory wheels I had to put a wheel spacer and longer studs on there to clear the calipers. Now, with the 15" slot mags. I don't need the spacer any more and need to swap the wheels studs out for regular ones so that I can mount these wheels using closed end mag lug nuts.

I would have drilled a hole and thru bolted it on the side. So I can take it apart to store, but that just me.

yea, that is what my dad said, but I have so many engines laying around ...I doubt there will ever be a time I don't have it occupied..

plus what fun is that, its a good day when I get to fire up the welder LOL
