pulling the engine out of the parts Jeep, the linkages were hung up. When I got them free, the back of engine, trans, & transfer case smashed my hand on the ground. fRONT MOTOR MOUNTS SUPPORTED THE FRONT...

Lucky only one broken bone....

ALWAYS SUPPORT WITH JACK OR JACK STANDS!!!
stickin' your hand where it doesn't belong - - again

engine out - torque converter out - flex plate dealt with - everything reinstalled - headers on - starter in (though not wired) - remote oil filter put back on fire wall... doesn't sound like much, but DAMN that was no fun :BangHead: - one of those days when everything fights back..
What was the final issue with the flex plate?

I figure it was "seated" to the other tc, possibly over torqued on the bolts a bit - even after I filed out the holes it was a very tight fit - to the point that I initially though ruht roh.. dis here is f**kated up...

the flex plate was on right to start with - here it is right after I set it down today

Mike it was the Mopar car gods trying to tell you they doesn't like the hood ......

Mike's a typical New Englander, the more you tell him to do something, the more he resists it...even if it means dying with the words "I told you I wouldn't do it" on his tombstone just to spite you.

:D

I must be from new england then....

Fury needs a new trunk mat, is there anything out there that is an improvement over the original kind?

See y'all in the morning......

Howdy Mike. Another beautiful day of grey and wet here. I am starting to embrace it. I see you have the flex plate on,Congrats. I'm about 90% in on selling the cuda . If the guy actually shows up with the cash today I think it's a done deal.
