FYI folks, made it throw the tornado ok, we've got some damage from what little I can see but we're all safe.
Guess I've built up a tolerance.SHHHHHEEES people like you give drugs a bad reputation, find a different dealer then!![]()
Well that's good news. You need to build an underground tornado shelter into your next house.
They do have a good rep.Good food and reasonable for sure we just lucked out looking for a place.
I was trying to post right before it hit. No warning whatsoever, went from a light sprinkle to full on hell and turned green sky instantly. The main path appears to be about 1/2 mile north of me. We got the side drafts. Roughly 80 mph winds or more.Dam I did not catch that Good to hear everyone is OK. how close?
That was already in the plansWell that's good news. You need to build an underground tornado shelter into your next house.
Yeah kind of bummed it didn't take my jeep but put a trampoline on top of it.Glad you're all ok....
The damage can be fixed....
Guess I've built up a tolerance.

Cell towers have back up power in batteries and generators. It's actually part of the national disaster plan that they do.Entire town without power but yet I have cel signal, wierd
Hmm didn't know that. Sucks trying to pack for a weekend on guard duty in the dark though lol.Cell towers have back up power in batteries and generators. It's actually part of the national disaster plan that they do.
I am sure if you make the call they will excuse you, hell they might be going there to help out! You have no idea what needs to be done till sunrise, If they do not give it to you run as fast as you can from that unit!!!!!Hmm didn't know that. I'd call my CO if I felt I needed too. She'd approve it. I just came back in, I've got a 650,000 candlelight spot light, house survived with no damage , the yard not so much but that can wait, trampoline off the jeep already, no idea where it came from , cracked windshield, few dings and dings, Durango seemed to make it thru unscathed. We just got kissed by the southern edge of it, farther north you go, the worse it is. Still no power and if they can't clear the roads by 5 am, I'll have no choice. I can't go south right now because the road is closed due to the bridge being under construction. So well seeI am sure if you make the call they will excuse you, hell they might be going there to help out! No, I'm a unique case. I report directly to the CO/1st Sgt. Top is out for training so the CO would make the call. Now on paper, I'm in a platoon. But that platoon is made up of officers for the battalion. It's truly a unique set upJust stay home and put the tramp back on the jeep and take pics. You have to call the CO not your supervisor to take off in a emergency?
Like, for sure!No, I'm a unique case.

We had pizza too!I'm with Wolfie - pizza night!
Christ! If it were me, I'd feel pretty guilty. Sounds like the damage isn't TOO serious, thankfully. My Pastors Son, called me last week, with a car problem. 94 Honda Civic. Said his brakes were going halfway to the floor. He said he thought he had a ruptured line. I told him to bring over slowly one day and I'd look at it. Didn't hear from him until yesterday. He called me around 1pm and said he couldn't get the hood open to check the brake fluid. Release handle frozen tight. He says he's gonna drive it over so I can get the hood open, and check for ruptured lines. Never saw him. 5pm, I go in for dinner. 7pm his Wife text's me and says, the brakes failed completely on him , on his way here. Apparently he drove off the road to avoid road workers in an asphalt construction zone, near my place. Dead center into a tree, Totaled the car. Wife says , he's at Shock Trauma, with a broken sternum, 7 broken ribs and a bruised lung.. He's still in the Hospital, but doing better. Great guy too, been on a few Mission Trips with me to Africa. Y'all Pray for his healing !!!
