Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mornin' Mike. You having rain, too?

Btw, how far apart are you people? In my head, you're all living in the rust belt, a few hours by car from one to the other. I'm thinking Dave, the Mikes (well, memike is down south, I know that and Ben is in Texas, Rani in CO and a few of you in CA), Chris, Keith, Hoppy, Old Man Ray, Tike.

Then I found out it's a 10 hour drive from you to Dave. I guess eastern US is bigger than I think, right?

We're pretty spread out, there's a handful that are relatively close like Hoppy, Dave, Keith, Ray, Tike. I'm about 10-12 hours west of them. The rest are spread out. Karl is about 4 hours north of me. Toolmanmike is about 10-12 hours north west of me, MeMike is about 8 hours south of me. Rani, I can make colorado in about 16 hours. Tim is on the left coast, my brother and dad made that drive in about 30 hours without pushing it. Goldie in South Carolina is about 12 hours from me. M3 is about 13-14 hours from me roughly.

The rust belt is pretty much anything north of the Mason-Dixon line and most states that touch the mason-dioxin line

Uhhh... Mitch lives near the DRAINING SWAMP !!!

Traffic is always a mess on and around the citys.

Takes me on average 10 hours phila. To Chicago.
Phila. To Richmond Va. Its taken me anywhere from 6 to 12 depends on traffic.
I hear that - the traffic thing is exactly why I always try to plan my routes away from main highways, sure you can make good time on the longer legs of the journey taking the "main" highways, but look out when you hit the cities or something like the "beltway" - you typically loose all the time you made up and then some. I have a low tolerance level for that kind of heavy traffic. When my wife and I went to Englishtown a few years ago we took 84 down from Albany - the gray route on this map.

So - in conclusion - on a week-long visit to the states, I would be able to see most of the coffee crew. Two weeks including a drive to the left coast, I'd cover pretty much all of it. The question would be Texas or Colorado crossing the plains. Both would mean adding almost a week to the trip.

Sounds great!

I couldn't have said it better.

How many famous women have been harassed or worse and not gotten the payoff? The subsequent fame or fortune of the victims hardly justifies the behavior of these assholes, does it?

Classic victim blaming. Don't you guys have daughters?
one comment here - have you ever been to a big name rock concert? ever see the line that forms off to one side of the stage - all females.. brother, they aren't there to get an autograph. You can argue that there is some coercion, but you can equally argue that it's of their own free will.. where's the line? So which came first - the movie exec. that coerced favors so "you" can get on the silver screen or the starlet who offered up a little something extra to coerce the exec. into moving her to the front of the line...???
