Stop in for a cup of coffee

original 413 max wedge blocks are even rarer than hemi blocks...... I watched one on evil bay go for 3500 in the same shape as mine. Mine is virgin block, but the problem is it was left taken apart, exposed to the elements in a dirt floor barn i pulled it from. It's VERY rusty. It'd have to be sonic checked, sleeved, line honed, water and oil passages extruded honed, decked, lifter bores machined. and then since the sleeves would take the notches out, i'd have to have the sleeves notched. 1500 alone to do that.
Morning Guys. Sounds ike the best scenario will be if it cleans up with overboring. I've stil got Gerry Stein's number if you ever need send me a PM or email.

I was down hard yesterday, think today is a make up day for me a lot to do when it is mild out.

Yes, that set up is mine...

64 stage III heads and intake on a 68-69 440 block... I have the repro max wedge tri-Y exhaust manifolds also... Some day I hope to put it in a B or E body...
I hear the 400 has the largest (stock) bore in a Mopar. Stroke one of those and put the MW heads on to fit in a late A-body?

yep, as far as factory bores go, the 400 was the largest factory bore. That said, it's easy stroked using a 440 crank(with the mains turned down some) to a 451 stroker. I did it in my 74 charger. Torquey SOB. Didn't have the max wedge heads though and one problem is the raised ports on the max wedge heads. I'm not sure an intake is made that'll fit the raised port heads when put on the short deck B series 400 block.

I suppose mixing and matching has its drawbacks. DIY sheet metal short runner single plane intake?
