Morning everybody.
-23 and clear. Coldest day so far.
Glad i dragged in the dead dodge last night, it will be warmed up some so i can work on it.

26 days....

Pulled a valve cover off the 318 yesterday, it looks suprisingly clean inside.
Engine casting says 82,cylinder heads if im reading them right are 78’s.
And it’s FRIDAY!!

Want to pull out the faulty pellet stove,332 lbs to go up the stairs. Guess im taking it apart....

I see the o ring seal. My 66 uses a metal gasket to seal. And a steel bushing.

It was missing, I have seen the steel/rubber seals on occasion, they factory?

I don't know where the break is/was. The o ring would seal well. Probably better than the steel gasket. There has to be some metal to metal to provide a ground path.

Wow, I didn't realize they were so inexpensive. (cheap to buy) LOL Any threads here at FABO about them?

Good point, you have no idea how many times I have had a presto sent to me to check out and the issue is it was fully painted, the hold down clamps don't bite into them like a aluminum housing.

The reason why I posted what I did, every morning i set down and turn on the computer and the tv for the latest news. The Today show is full of all the "inappropriate: news probably because of Matt Lauer. I need to quit watching the news.

I don't doubt some of the stories are true abuse/harassment situations. But I am so tired of hearing it every time I turn the TV on. Today show is OK, but Megan Kelly is this crap EVERY time. I either turn it off, or sometime flip the channel to Kelly and Ryan. They can be annoying to, but at least its upbeat.
