We had a guy named Richard Seamen in High School and a colleague of mine at a company about 10 years ago was named Harold Dix.

Both of them had great fun with their names.

Harry used to say with a big grin, "Perhaps you've heard of me...and my friends."

Another friend had the last name "Waldick". When people asked how it was spelled, he would reply "Like floor nuts...but with one 'L'..."

When I worked at the Buick dealer we had a black gal named Wanda White. Her middle initial was B. We still laugh at that one.

When my dad was a major in the Army, he got a lawn mower from his black boss (bird colonel). The mower brand was 'White Supreme' . I still laugh about that..
Today, that'd make international news for racism

Years ago when I lived in Nc local dj's did a skit on the radio as Nascar announcers. "Here comes Willie T. Ribbs around corner 4 in the Afro-Sheen Cadillac" Wrong, but frikkin hilarious.

Morning, kids! Man, this weather feels great. (nudge nudge, poke poke!) 49 degrees and supposed to be 69 today and sunny. It is 66 in the house and I love it. Winter is pretty much the only time of the year that I like Florida. How are things where you are at?

Wow, zero degrees! Coldest I have ever been was when I rode my motorcycle in 15 degree weather with jeans and a leather jacket. My knees were so cold when I got home I could not straighten them and had to go sit in the tub for an hour. It felt like needles for a long time. I don't know what that wind chill was but it was a stupid thing to do! Only went 10 miles, thought I would be fine. LOL.

Yep, that was a cold ride my friend with a wind (50 MPH) it would have been zero. -45 is the coldest I had to work in, I was in Ill. working at a co_op unloading trucks with corn, a snowmobel suit was a must to have back in the day (45 years ago

-45??? Were you in Antartica? How do you even use tools or get anything running in that temp? I was watching some show about mechanics in Alaska and they put the vehicle inside a heated shop overnight just to de-ice the thing so they can work on it.

The trucks run non stop (getting there corn in) and that temp is the wind chill, it was the coldest night I ever had to work in doing 18 hour days until the season was over, money was great but the warm shower/bath never felt so good

Morning everybody.
-32, dont know what the wind chill is.
Did something to my left leg. Can hardly walk. Pulled muscles or something. Servicing that snowmobile on trailer didnt help.
This kind of pain wears a person out, gonna be a long day.

Hay ! good morning, you better let that heal a bit old man, or you will have to deal with it all winter long... just saying

Well my problem is a vacation coming up and there will be some walking. And while on the cruise ship we walk a lot, rarely use elevators, was always stairs. Take each day as it comes.
