Stop in for a cup of coffee

I've been working on the front door to the house. My wife took the dog out for a walk just before lunch and the doorknob assembly came apart locking her out of the house (the knobs on both sides were on the ground).

I had her go around to the back and I let her in through the kitchen slider. Then I had to temporarily seal up the hole in the front door where the knob used to be while I went to get a replacement. Looks like the cheap builder grade crap got me once again.

All fixed now.

I bought a Snap-on MM250 when I was working in bodyshops to do heavier stuff on trucks and most shops have a Miller or 2 floating around. The MM250 has been a great machine but the weld deposits when you tune it down for light sheet metal are kind of heavy and it won't push .024. It gets it done but there's extra clean up.

I've used plenty of Millermatic 140's for bodywork, but I had an opportunity to use a Millermatic 211 auto set. Really liked it. You set the wire size, gauge thickness, pull the trigger, and it self adjusts from there. Saves a lot of dinkering around with settings.

Not quite sold on the combo machines.

Took the Fury for a short spin. No salt on roads in this tiny township and I hadn't driven the Fury in a couple weeks since the funny noise started coming from the alternator. It doesn't become noticeable until you've been driving a few minutes. Not going to take it to be looked at until some very heavy rain washes away the tons of salt on Main Rd.

Funny I slipped and fell on the ice in front of the firehouse, pretty nicely too, but nobody saw. When I cook too much food for myself, that's where I bring the extra.

Oh, the Fury is not the best car for driving on ice!

Used the miller 211 for a couple years at work. Nice machine.
