heya
hearing you guys out west may get some mud slide causing rains this weekend
Done. Ranger gone,sleds gone. Yard is empty. Ready to start up again on the 18’th

My place is good to go. Been working on it for years to get it storm proof. Cement and block/stone retaining walls, lots of drains to the street....

The neighbor did that on it already. He opened the garage door and stepped out on it, not realizing it was ice...and proceeded to do a slow motion slide all the way down it to the street.
He had to get to the lawn on his hands and knees before he could stand up and walk on the snow back to the house.
Funny as hell to watch!

Yeah, no kidding. I'm not leaving the house until after the sun comes up and melts this ****.
It's going up to 45* tomorrow so it shouldn't take long to get rid of it.

My drive was iced. But more sleet than rain, so had a gravel finish that was not too bad to walk on. The car had a nice ice shell though. Lol. Roads were not too bad to drive on, just a mess

Starting to thaw here a little bit... Warmer this week......
I watched four people crawl across a street one time.
Last time we had that was like 9 years ago. Was out of control idling down the highway. 50 miles? No way! Had a hard time turning around to go home. Crown on the road was enough to slide into ditch.
I've seen the Crawl before, also....But it was in South East Asia...

When it stops in about an hour or so, I will put on the ice cleats and go salt the driveway and walks.
I bought these pull-on cleats 20 years ago and they are worth their weight in gold. They bite into ice like a pit bull on a T-bone steak.

Hell no! LOL, I went down on the ice last year and damn near did a total split. It took weeks to recover from the pulled muscles...I'm too old to bend like that!
