Dangit. Gots my new “bling” and somethin aint right. View attachment 1715156519View attachment 1715156520 Seems the adjuster bracket is bent the opposite way.

It looks like you have the wrong triangular bracket. You have the one for the cast iron water pump and are running an aluminum one...

Post a picture of the front of the triangle bracket...

I have pictures of each style downloading from camera right now...

The ones in the package are for a 70 and later with aluminum, the plain set out of the package are for 69 and earlier with cast iron water pump.

The triangle bracket is not supposed to have that much bend/kink in it and you should have a longer spacer between the back ear of the alternator and head....

i just need to copy what’s here, less the dirt..been at least 15 years since i moved the alt bolt....

It's supposed to have some bend, but not sure if yours may have too much bend... It may be correct after looking twice... But it seems like your alternator is too far back... Or the water pump pulley is too far forward...

Hey, thanks guys. The alt im using may be from an ac car.

Other pics show that bracket behind the front flange of the alternator. That will bring the alt out to meet the other bracket...

Well, havent heard from my customers that were coming to square up. Need to get to the city to swap my 8-3/4”.

SCCA events are held year 'round. Depending on the event it may be cancelled. Event name or link?
Not the local chapter here. Last event is always the last weekend in November. Usually the first event of the year is the first weekend in April but due to how Easter fell this year, they started 1 week early.

I think they still run year round at the road course in a Indianapolis but down here, nope.
