Nice. Love automotive machine shops. Yours looks like fun. Lots going on from the pictures you've posted.
Thanks! we're capable of around 50 engines a day. Pretty big operation! Now if i can just sell some more mopar 408's and mopar distributors to the forum, I'll be in good shape!! :)

So you guys rebuild engines or just sell crate engines?

We just sell crate engines free and clear. too much involved with shipping blocks back and forth for rebuilds. There will come a day when we're not even using any seasoned blocks any more. We're already there with most of the SBC and BBC lineup...we cast new blocks in the US for probably 3/4 of the GM lineup. Gotta sell alot more 408's for that to happen with my mopars.lol But i'm hopeful!

Gotcha. Trying to find a dedicated Mopar shop for this next 440. Had a very bad experienced with a shop that came highly recommended but they completely screwed my 440 block up to where I had to source another.

Good morning...warming up here finally, good for the attitude to come down here at low tide. Water is a chilly 58 and it was breezy but that didnt stop one little girl from lying down in a tidal pool, it is nice to see kids having fun.

I went through again put Mopar shop in the search site here and came up with several. I guess you have to call and talk and go with one. Here there is only one shop to go to. It's a one man shop, been doing it 30 years. He rebuilt my SBC 400 and did a GREAT job. He had recommendations for cam, etc... very reasonable, very happy.

exactly why we don't take customer blocks... sorry about your luck there!

I can see that. But surely you do better work than this...

440 troubles
Wow. Well yes.lol in my completely biased opinion, we're great at what we do (but we're not perfect) and don't pretend to be. It's am imperfect world, and any engine on the planet is just a combination of moving parts, all of which have a lifespan. We can't get into the scenario where we have differing opinions with a customer on if their block is "usable" or even worst...get one thats numbers matching that fails at some point.
