Stop in for a cup of coffee

I had to look it up why Didn't he! I love to help is my problem.
Over on the Charger Forum I must have posted a hundred times in response to people asking for information “This isn’t Google, look it up for yourself” or “There is a search function on this forum, if you can type your question in a new thread I’m pretty sure you can type it there too. Give it a try.”

Here's an example. This one needs to be in the wanted section. The op has a 1000+ posts and should know better. The rules state the we can delete threads that don't follow the rules. Should I be a jazz and delete or be a nice guy and move it and point the mistake out to the op?
(Rhetorical question)

Neutral Safety Sw. and radio parts NEEDED!

It’s what we call a “Coaching opportunity”. Delete it and send the OP a PM saying why it was deleted. This way, he will have to go through the effort of creating it all over again in the correct place and will be more likely to pay attention the next time.

I like that and have done that a time or two. I usually send a pm and if the guy gets lippy......poof ! I also like to point out the mistake right on the thread for all to see. Not to embarrass but as a teachable moment for the others to see. I got questioned by other mods about this. If I pm, only one person sees the problem. If I post it on a thread, dozens can learn.

If I start drinking, I will eventually get hammered and start cussing. Does this count.

That’s called “teaching by example” and it’s minimally effective on adults especially those that are not the direct subject of what is being taught.

What I suggested is called “teach by experience” and is the most effective way to teach adults. It has to be done directly to each individual you wish to teach.

Let me guess, "You got it for free"?
Still makes no sense to put it on. You don’t know who the buyer might be and some may want it, but some may not. By keeping it off the vehicle, you can either sell it to a buyer as an add on or sell it separately to someone else...netting more money.

You also save the time and effort of installing it that you can then spend somewhere else more productive/lucrative.

Then why are you wasting any time putting accessories on it? It won’t raise the value and you will net more by selling the bumper separately.
cause I wanted too

No but it was on sale

because I hit something and had to replace the bumper anyway?

Besides, a factory replacement bumper cost twice what this did

Always changing stories and late emerging details.

Never mind...you aren’t teachable anyway.
If you say so.

I don't ask that you like my choices but no need to belittle me for them either.

Bottom line is, until I find something else comparable to the capabilities that I need out of this jeep that's within my price range, I'm stuck with it. So when I need to replace something and decide to upgrade and save money at the same time, I'm going to do that
