Hey Chris, Mike, Tim...hope you guys have a good weekend in store.
Yep taking the kids to an antique machinery show and than an engine swap on the polara
Any of you guys repair your own appliances?

Sometimes, depends on the type and cost of the part. Often times in modern applicances, cheaper to replace the whole thing than repair it

I have fixed a couple things. Not very good at diagnosing though. Thanks to Google! LOL
It took me a while to figure out what to do, and even the wrong part number, which crossed over to A part that was searchable...... The part was 90 bucks so it was a crap shoot. No returns on electrical parts yada yada yada.

So got my engine:thumbsup:
Transmission:thumbsup:
Rad and shroud:thumbsup:
Alt starter reg ecu:thumbsup:
Ps pump:thumbsup:
And a new set of 1975 manuals:thumbsup:

Offered him extra cash and he flat out refused. Keep the hobby alive!:thankyou: Les. This is what makes the world go round!!

Remember those Coke machines service stations had in the full service days? Welll, we as employees had to stock them. My boss was a frugal man, kept the machine thermostats turned UP to save power. Definitely NOT ice chest cold. So we tweaks the thermostat a little . That's an improvement, let's give it a little more. Boss has to refill the machine one day and notices that the bottles are a little cooler than he prefers, turns it back up. Well if a little tweak is good, more is better and I did so. Oh Baby! That's cold! I uses the built in bottle opener on the machine, a column of ice rises from the neck of the bottle pretty much instantly when the pressure is released. :D Way Cool. Mark that spot on the thermostat.

Just killing time before we head out to the five year old granddaughter's birthday party.

They are having it at the zoo, with a behind the scene tour of the animal she picks. She picked the giraffes. Oh boy, hardly wait.

But gee after that we head out an hour later for another grand kids t-ball game.

Nothing getting accomplished today. I don't mind it, but two events in a day. :)

Its calm. Thank goodness. Water bombers hard at it from about 2 hours ago.

Transmission pretty much back together,i see now why the lack of clutches, the kit says torquflite 6.
Not even what i ordered. Parts monkeys with no business being behind a parts counter.
I ordered from a transmission supply warehouse for a reason.
The specialize. Guess not.

Not something normally seen at one of these.
