no, I walked away from it last night. When I get frustrated, its usually better for me to walk from it for a bit and think on it. I'm wondering if the coil is screwed up or even wrong for points all together

Hello Hello HelloUhm set the points and is the coil a points coil? If all else fails put the old rims on.

Chris first check the points dwell/gap then make sure the coil is getting power and the distrib is not 180 should fire up pretty easily.

I'm back... Had a stamp club meeting. Couple people on vacation and the weather/road conditions made for a very small group. Only 4 of us there.
I had to run the meeting and do a presentation and my usual 'job' as club secretary taking notes for the meeting minutes. Did a talk on identification of early US stamps.
But hey, right place right time... One of the members is moving to CA and was discussing stuff he can't or doesn't want to take with him. He's giving me a 24' extension ladder.
