The word got back to some of the guys working in the back of the warehouse that I literally told my department lead to "f*ck off" right to his face and walked away within a half hour after it happened a couple months ago... They loved that I put him in his place...
Most of the people at work don't like him... I've seen a few other people stand up to him since and tell him not to yell and swear at them...
As hard as I work, they keep trying to push me harder... That's what pisses me off...
If I give 100% and it's not good enough, then why try??? If you support me and encourage me, then I will try a little harder, but if everything I do is not good enough, then I give up... Insulting me and talking down to me will not make me put out more effort, it will do the opposite...
I just caught them in a lie a couple weeks ago and have lost some respect for them... My lead and supervisor were telling me that if I don't get the trucks loaded on time, they would write me up... I was driving like an asshole to try to accomplish that, but was concerned that I was endangering other workers by driving like my dept lead does... Even the supervisor would encourage me to keep it up, even after I voiced concerns that I was afraid that I may harm someone... I thought it was f*cked up that they would encourage me to sacrifice safety over productivity when I was trying to prove my point...
They wanted us to take our breaks at certain times instead of completing loading our trucks and then taking a break, we had some bad feelings and our group voiced their concerns... We had a meeting with the top guy in the place, and when I told him about how I was threatened that I would be written up if my truck wasn't loaded in time and would rather push my break back instead of getting written up, he assured me that I wouldn't... Some of the stuff I load comes in on 4 - 5 different truck routes and if any of them are late, it makes me late... Or if the departments don't have the stuff packed in time, it makes me late and I have no control over that...
So now we are on strict break times and have to go on break if the truck isn't fully loaded... There have been a few times one of the guys in our group have only 5 orders left to load, but he has to go on break and let it be late... So instead of taking 5 - 10 more minutes to finish loading the truck, it's late because we have to take our break....

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone. Going in for a quick 4 hours or so, then out until Jan 3. Heading to slum in the north woods until Monday, then to Dads for Christmas Eve, home for Christmas Day. Then time to put some work in on my sons rat rod.

The ex just got back from her deployment in Iraq and Kuwait this last weekend and her and her husband were going to Detroit today... My youngest son went there yesterday... I am going to Detroit on X-mas day...
Maybe I will get to hang out with Keegan Michael Key on Christmas night if he's available... I went last year and he had some other things going on and we couldn't catch up with him.... It figures the year I go and hope to see him, he wasn't available...
I haven't seen him since he made it in Hollywood... My kids spent the 4 Christmases before that with him and his brother... My oldest son was doing shots with his brother...
Keegan Key asks how I'm doing when he sees my kids (it's good that he still remembers me), it will be cool if I could catch up with him again...

But we all get our share of skinned knuckles when working on our cars... It comes with the territory.....
I get so used to skinned knuckles, that sometimes I don't realize that I busted a knuckle until I wash up and the soap hits it and it stings...
You gotta keep a good supply of Band-Aids and Neosporin around...
Busted knuckles. Wish thats all it was. Grinder with a new flapwheel just barely touched my finger. Wow. I have to be careful now,it tasted blood.

I'm supposed to wake the oldest boy up at 8:00 so he can go register for classes in Dakalb this morning, then he has to be back to work just after noon...
I hope the streets are not slippery when he goes... Traffic is bad enough at that time in rush hour(s)...

I've made garage band aids with electrical tape and a paper towel to get by and keep working on my car until I wash my hands and put on a real one....
I was thinking I was crazy for doing that...
I'm glad I'm not the only one....
Who wants to interrupt progress and waste time by going in and washing your hands and putting on a band aid when the time could be better spent making progress on your car...
You have to keep focused and stay in your zone...

That reminds me of the time my friend was drinking and driving on the way to a concert at Alpine Valley Wisconsin and thought it was a 4 way stop when it was only a 2 way and he pulled in front of a Chevy truck doing 55 MPH and got hit broad side... He got scared and ran... We convinced him to turn himself in and he spent the night in the Racine, WI jail...
My brother was in the car with him and luckily didn't get hurt... His seat got hit and broke the center console in the car, and he just had a little limp.... My friend Jeff and I were with our gf's in my Barracuda following them and saw the whole thing...
I have tried to go to two concerts at Alpine Valley, left the house, and never made it in the front gate....
