Like what am i missing to connect my carb to the gas pedal. Or how to connect to transmission.. have a variety of diagrams for ‘65 models.
I think Ddaddy supplied an answer above.

Not knowing quite what you have there on the linkage hard to offer any suggestions. You're doing what I had to do for my 67. First time was that and a lot of junkyard runs.
Watch for the differences in heights if you use a dual plane intake.
I had to make more changes to the brackets and transmission kickdown linkage when I switched to dual plane.

Good being all. Got some bad news.

Back story, my bad knee has been really unstable of late and the military made me go to a specialist again. Well the first MRI, there was too much distortion, caused by the large amount of fluid in my knee to get a clear pic. So we went with 6 weeks of therapy. Took new MRI today, still a lot of distortion, but it appears the ACL is torn again...

Just watched a good video, Tinman. 63 valiant street car. 1710 hp on the dyno.
Its angry...

I think it's the petalar tendon that I grenaded. Sounded like a gunshot. Knew I had an issue when I couldn't get my right foot up to the foot peg and brake pedal on the Honda. There was very little pain after the first 30 seconds, my lower leg just wouldn't do it's assigned duties.

I tore my ACL, MCL and meniscus in 08, tore my patella tendon in 2013. Same knee, now the ACL again in that knee

I don't know if they used mesh to repair it or a cadaver tendon. My surgeon did tell me it took him and his attending surgeon to pull the quad muscle down far enough re-attach it. It's still spooky walking on steep grades, uphill not so bad, downhill a whole other story
