Stop in for a cup of coffee

Comes out the 'thimble' after the stove heats up. Like it's cooking out of the block. But nothing is open up top. So almost has to be getting in down the flues.

Got it.
And it only shows when the fire is burning?
Any chance its condensation that's dripping down the inside of the flue and then coming out the joint at the thimble?

Got some chores to do this morning. Clean up from having our Christmas here last night. I made out like a bandit. I got a digital SLR camera, a Edelbrock jet/metering rod kit for my 600, tons of clothes, a whiskey book and Glencarin tasting glasses among other stuff. I must have been a good boy. If I keep making the boss lady her coffee every morning may be I can stay on her good guy list.
We will prob do gifts in the morning. I know my main thing cause I had to go pick it up. LOL. Air compressor from HF. 2.5Hp, 10gal.
But I see a small pile here that I think is all me.

Not likely. Till recently had no caps, so they stayed quite dry. Too much water for that sometimes. I thought it was water collecting in the kitchen flue we don' use . so covered that and pumped it out with a shope vac - several gallons. So maybe still some trapped in blocks? Goofy design chimney. The flue for woodstove comes up under kitchen then angles over and up next to it. Oilburner is right next to wood stove in basement and also angles over before rise. But it never has water issues. Of course it does not heat up near as much either.

Mine just points to the garage (where the two cars are parked) and says Merry Christmas.... shocked!! HAHA

Most of the house is very well built, but in my opinion, the Chimney really came up short. In addition to the angled flues -Clay tiles not set lined up good. Sloppy mortar(inside), no clean outs. The basement ones just stop right at the thimbles.

Seems plausible. Masonry can soak up quite a bit. I'd think it would eventually dry out with each use.
Unless more has got in somehow.

Man, I’m so glad I went with my gut back in October. I shifted my 401k into a guaranteed 2.4 percent return fund. Took my 13.8 percent year over year gain, decided to go safe for a while. Just checked my 401k after all the turmoil on the markets this month or so, since October 7th, when I made the change, I’m up exacting 2.459 percent.

If I’d left my money where it was, I’d be down 24.863 percent!!!

Do they actually require you to sell on the vendor spots? I know there are others that don't.

Just put some parts out with a rediculous price so it won't sell...

Like my grandma used to call lazy fishing, where you throw an empty hook in and just are there to sleep....
