Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hah! We just went thru that here, over of all things kids snowmobiling across drive ways. I kid you not, it deteriorated to lawyers and quoting State laws, covenants you name it. Keep in mind this is teenagers and young adults rocking their sleds and cutting over some driveways to get to the fields. We chose silence as we had no dog in the fight but did state we have a sled friendly property. Our property borders the edge of no mans land! Some of these guys got some killer sleds. I for one was thrilled they were enjoying being out doors and not playing Nintendo (dating myself there!) anyway city council meetings can be a hoot!
You know it.I always have a coctail in my hand when I watch. Skin in the game, My wife is the CFO. LOL

Cheese, crackers, deer sticks and apple slices for my snack. Washed down with some Oregon Rogue Dead Guy Ale! Yummy

I like that beer! I was crabbing once on a pier in Newport Oregon. The wife walked down to the Rogue brewery which was right at the end of the pier and came back with 2 22 ounce Rogue beers. I didn't catch any crabs (go ahead kk) but the beer was good and it was fun "fishing".

Ft Bragg/Glass Beach is 2 hours north of SF on US1, pretty drive. Goes near Maverick's (Bigass waves). Ft Bragg also has the Skunk Train, a steam train through the Sequoias. Made for a fun vacation.
My favorite place in California. I love the northern coast with the woods on one side the Hwy and the coast on the other.

Have you ever heard of Treebones? Wife found that place somehow, wanted to stay in a yurt so we flew into San Jose and rented a car, drove down the coast, very nice!

Took the now ex-wife and the 8 yr old at the time daughter Hwy 1 from San Luis to Santa Cruz, they slept the entire ride despite my attempts to keep them awake. Played in Frisco for the afternoon and stayed over night. Next morning back to Hwy 1 to Ft Bragg, again they slept. Played in Ft Bragg a couple days, did the Skunk Train. Headed for the Sierras through the Napa Valley, again they slept . Played in Placerville, including white water rafting on the American River through Gold Rush territory. Hwy 49 through the foothills of the Sierras heading for home, you guessed it, they slept .

I got this today from my “Uncle”. Although he wasn’t family, he was my dad’s best friend and we always called him that.

This was taken in 1974. My uncle Ron on the left followed by my Mom, my sister, Ron’s two boys, me (in the black and white t-shirt), Ron’s wife sue and then my Dad on the far right.

And yep, that is an A100 van behind my Dad with the hood open.

Dave,
I have a favor to ask. Could you repost all of the "this guy" pics like you did a while back. This time with names to put with all the faces? Not sure if that us too much to request or just not a good idea. Would be cool to have them all.

I can do it, but the list has grown. Probably be tomorrow before I can put it together.

Typically I dont care much for an IPA. Reminds me of Gin. Kinda pine tree taste.

Yes there is a huge range of flavors with IPA's, some have so much hoppiness they kinda smack you in the face. I like some but favor the more mellow ones. I tried one while in New Orleans at daughters wedding called "Jucifer" or something like that, real good to me. Kind of a cloudy mellow flavor without the strong finish. I like Ales if they aren't too sweet.

We have a municipal issue up here. Public reserve between river and road, has been used for decades as an access point for snowmobilers.
Guy buys cottage, buddy of councillor, councillor has access fenced off.
Fit hit the shan...
Councillor stepped down.
All because the one weekend guy comes out and he is disturbed by sleds going past on a trail.

No more fence, no more councillor, and now the snowmobilers travel past that cottage on the pipe. Braaap!

That would be awesome. Thanks. I know you have your tooth issue and a thousand other things on your plate. No rush. If you had free time, whenever that may be.

Thanks. I typically lean towards a stout. Like the dark heavy bitter beer. Actually, same goes for my coffee and cigars.
