Worked here for 5 years now. Spent 16 years at Rockwell/Meritor/Axletech International in the off highway planetary drivetrain business.

Cool, I never heard of it until my brother moved there. He had us over for Thanksgiving, has a nice place up on the hill. I probably won't go down there again until the Portland Swap in April.
I can't believe how frickin cold it's getting there. Ya, stay inside if you can!

As previously mentioned I have kin folk scattered all over Wa. Next time we come out I will send you a PM and see if we can't do a QC check on some microbrews!
My wife is from Detroit. She told me once that it got so cold there her steering wheel cracked/broke and also she had a fake leather jacket that cracked. I don't even think it was as near as cold as what you're talking about there so it must be something else!
Ya I tease him Happy Valley sounds like some hippie commune.
We're supposed to get -30° wind chill today, -50° tonight into tomorrow.
