Yeah embroidery machines and everything else is computer controlled today. Even shirt mfging doesn't compare to the experience she has, sewing together mattresses.
I'm afraid she'll have to flip burgers to stay employed 4 more years.
and BTW unemployment office sent her right back out the door. Only method of applying for benefits is online. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hell buy a machine and do pocket type logos at home. Bet you can make a ton just here I could use a few myself.

Turns out my dial type timing light wont work on msd 6A ignition systems. Tweak timing and carb a little and road test.
Starts much better,vacuum around 15” is about the best at low idle. I had a solid state older timing light, but its gone somewhere. Think i gave it away.

:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead: Many of the newer timing lights don't know what to do with multiple sparks. "Which one do I pick up for the correct timing" They are confused. LOL
 
Conference calls started at 7 am this morning. I have been working on images during them since mostly all I need to do is listen. Kinda like an advanced form of doodling.

I managed to complete the Chevy set...

Do they still have a 'line'? I did everything online a few years ago. I did have to go in for a couple required employment workshops where they tell you about retraining and 'career' day opportunities. Mostly offering jobs that don't require much knowledge/experience and don't pay **** and I would never have a chance at because I was WAY 'over qualified' and not from any 'underprivileged' group.:bs_flag::BangHead:

A guy on a Facebook A body group posted a short video of his leaking valve cover gaskets. I asked him what the hose from the breather cap is connected to. He said his brake booster. LOL :wtf::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

My wife is surely mad enough at this moment to play 36 holes. She has been driving for over 2 hours hunting a unemployment office that is still open for business. Summit St. Liberty SC office, closed. Pendleton St. Greenville office, closed. Plenty of outdated info online.
She just called while I'm typing here, found one! , Pleasantburg Dr. G'ville.
I wouldn't want to be the person she'll share her attitude with.

They are probably used to seeing that attitude...
They want it all done online. Most job apps are online through job search sites. Our state's is called CareerLink and really didn't have much to offer. Best one I found when I was hunting was Indeed.com. One thing that did help me was a resume writing workshop. Since there are not many good jobs to be gotten by 'walking in', the resume is the 'you' that they will see. I worked my way from Dock worker to Facilities Service Manager over 26+ years. I was 'excused' from that position May 2013.
Damn near impossible to get a manger job today without a degree. ​
When benefits were running out, I took a temp job in assembly with Harley for 6Months at half the money I made as a manager. When that was done I found a mechanic job with a plant just starting that was supposed to build to me hiring additional employees and getting promoted to manager. Nope. They closed our doors after 3 years.

I am now working hands on as a maintenance mechanic. Decent pay, but still a step down from what I was getting 10years ago...

The woman who lives in my house started doing alterations from the house. More business than she can take. Been 'retired' working from home for about 4 years now. She actually seems happy.

Now if I could just get her interested in auto interiors....
