Damn!
No trying to make fun of you in any way, but my dad told about a guy in the old days, when surgery was not so common. The guy went to hospital and had surgery, and when he came back everyone was very curious about how it went and well, you know, I mean people had hardly been to a doctor even. And the man told, I assume he was asleep during the surgery so he just made it up, but told people that they cut off pieces of him, and put away, cut off pieces and put away. So, it sounded like it was not much left when they were done.
And my mom's dad, my grandfather, at one point he had to get one of his knees fixed, a meniscus problem. And he was so nervous. He talked to a fellow who had at some point had surgery, and the guy lied to my grandfather telling him that when he was in surgery they used butcher knives, and what not. And my mom told me that my grandfather was 100% convinced that he would never be able to walk again and just sit in a chair in the living room for the rest of his life. He was a farmer and fisherman, and after the surgery he was both on the ocean fishing, and doing his regular farm work, and was doing forest work too.
Good they don't use butcher knives anymore and not just cut off pieces and put away either.
Hope your feet get better soon.
Bill
