You guys have to stand lookout watch while underway? I was a Bosun Mate for a while when I first went in we had to along with our regular 8 hour day.

Yes we do. Record different readings and temps. Right now I'm doing maint. & generator watch.

I was going to take a little road trip today up the beach a little ways to see that BIG surf the NWS is squawking about and take care of some business at my union hall. I looked at the current surf reports 3-5 footers I saw breakers bigger than that on Lake Michigan when i was a kid

I have a few i watch, bad chad, ave, dd speed shop, old time garage an now vise grip.
Zip ties and bias plys is a little too way out there for me.
And eric on south main auto is good to watch too.
