Paperwork I have states the car was drag raced in the 90s. Since the break is on the drivers side could it have been repeated engine torque? I know it's just a 6 but seems plausible.

No idea how that happened. I have a 500 hp 440 in the dart and nothing like that has happened. If it is not weldable I know Klingers in pine Grove had a few early A's with slants in them. He has no issues pulling that for you.

Yeah. If I have to I can. Concern was the proximity to the torsion bar.
The replacement one wasn't too expensive even with shipping and had already been sand blasted and painted. I'll keep the old one regardless.
They are fun to change out. Have access to a lift I hope?
