Stop in for a cup of coffee

I made a pot of chicken noodle soup. I bought a rotisery chicken from Sams a couple days ago. Like $5. We will get 3 or 4 meals out of it with some creativity.

Long hard day of dealing with the electric company. I'm stiff all over from the cold. I really miss my hot tub. I think I will treat myself to a single person one.

After @Mopar Tim experience I will never participate in the Power tour or give them any money......................:mob:

What happened?

short version.............

after he paid and drove across the country he had an issue with his trans and they would not let him participate

Long story for sure. Put it this way he was basically told to leave after his car broke and he was trailering it to put it short!

Top it off he paid for the VIP tour and got Frucked hard!

Okay, as the guy that was there with Tim, I’ll tell what happened.

Tim left my house Sunday morning, Sunday evening, his transmission blew in the hotel parking lot. I wasn’t leaving due to my own tire issues until Monday, so I cannonballed down, got Tim, he came back, got his truck and trailer from my house, went and loaded up the dart. Tuesday morning, he followed me and the Jeep from Bowling Green to Nashville Speedway. When we got there, Tim who had the Gold pass for him, followed the directions to go to Gold parking.

I went to Spectator parking. I was cheap and didn’t buy a pass  . I get a phone call from Tim, guy is cussing him out and told him he had to leave. Said he wasn’t allowed to have a trailered vehicle. Despite the fact there were scores of trailered vehicles. So we hung out for a bit, Tim gave me and my son their gold passes and they headed home. We then stamped his passes and got his goodies at the end of the tour on Friday. Tim picked them up from me on his way to Carlisle the next month.

I spoke with the lady in charge of the tour at Indianapolis on Friday for about an hour on the subject. Basically, the guy at Nashville was 100 percent in the wrong. He was actually a hired hand by Nashville speedway and not part of Hot Rod. What was and still is the policy is that trailered vehicles are only allowed in spectator parking. The crew at Nashville didn’t get the memo until halfway thru the day after they’d allowed trailered vehicles into the Gold area. She had me tell Tim to email the company about a credit or refund. Then gave me all of his stuff.

That said, you can easily do the tour like I did and not give Hot Rod a single dime and still have all the same fun, plus one old lady and her husband gave my son their long hauler plaque in the Indy parking lot that they’d won at the left over goodie raffle at the end of the day at Indy.

I plan to do at least part of the Tour this year again, mainly cause I have an offer from QA1 to be in their tent with my dart if it’s done by May.(unlikely)

That is what happened i get they don't want trailer queens on the tour but the way Simone and I were treated sucked

FFS...

So long to search the interwebs in order to find a number to call to get a human from UPS.

They recently changed or built a new hub that is closer to me, but apparently they can't find my house I guess, because all 8 packages that have ended up there are missing in action.

SOOOOO annoying.

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't give you the option of selecting an alternative shipper. The Post Office is more reliable.

I had the same problem with amazon and had to spend hours on the phone with their mapping dept. or whatever.................PITA.

She offered to have the stuff dropped off at a Drop Locker. NO!!! I want you to find my freaking house. Don't they have Google Maps?

They were at the neighbors across the street 2 days ago.

Yeah I wish they’d refunded you. I mean the lady laid the blame on the venue’s staff vs Hot Rods but in hindsight, as I was thinking about this the other day, we should have just left the speedway, hooked your trailer to my jeep, you park in gold parking with your truck while I parked in spectator, rinse and repeat. There were never any staff or anyone in spectator lots

And what will really make me hit TILT is that I know, when the items show up, they will be busted and smashed from rolling around in the back of a delivery truck for almost 10 days now

Actually, that was the problem with the Amazon trucks. They do not use Google Maps; they have their own mapping software, and she had to actually change the pin location for my house.:BangHead::BangHead:
