Stop in for a cup of coffee

500miles is "cruising" at 40mph. At WOT you'd likely burn that 1,500 gallon fuel tank in more like 5hrs or 300 miles
Holy crap 1500 gallon fuel tank? Say four dollars a gallon for dockside gas. But I reckon if you got a boat like that a fuel bill is not even a hiccup in your monthly budget! I can’t even wrap my head around that kind of lifestyle.

I haven't been around boats in so long. Are outboards still 2 strokes?
No, there isn't much for 2 stoke anymore. But that said, the 7.6L v12 we are speaking of would be a very baddass 2 stroke!!!! Currrently 600hp - I wonder what 2 stroked would be like????

The “pitch” alone of the engine noise, no hearing protection on earth could handle that!

The little Yammahammers we ran on our karts, the KT100 was 100cc and 16hp off the shelf. Simple little air cooled piston port.

.More my speed.

The Chevron station I worked as a kid in the desert, pretty high volume place on one of the highways that led Californians to Lake Mead, Lake Mojave, Lake Havasu, and the Colorado River. We saw a lot of boats. One summer day my partner and I were sittin' in the shade and I see this flat bottom pull into the farthest row of pumps we had. "Keep an eye on things, I'm gonna be awhile." I tell my partner and take off for the boat. I put the gas nozzle in the slow mode in the pickup  and go to check out the boat. Blown SOHC 427 Ford

Love looking at boats, take your time lol! When I lived in Eugene OR we used to go out to Fern Ridge Reservoir when we were kids, neighbor had a slick jet boat with blown 454. I remember the metal foot gas pedal, classic hot rod stuff

Looking at the weather here wind advisory 20-30mph with gusts to 50mph this evening starting around 8, looks like a short duration event, hope so cause don't feel like working
