That's pretty stout, hop you don't lose powerI just checked wind gusts possible to 55 mph and it ends at noon today. The forecast last night it was supposed to end at 0100 this morning............

Yeah been blowing since yesterday afternoon...................so far so good. We have a whole house backup if needed.
Looks like you're in some pretty country there, was born in that state, never been in that part. Lake Isabella looks pretty nice

I am really drawn to "out west" dry air and better temps.
You need to spend a year out west for example Nevada, California and Arizona to find good and bad lol.
My GF has been in northern AZ for 20 years. I love it there, but she is ready for somewhere different. I have only been out there a few times, but the dry air is much better on my lungs and I love the scenery. I like Utah, St George area. Also with plans to run at Bonneville, anything closer would help.
I get it. The air here is good unless forest fire smoke heads our way. I'm at 2800' so temperatures are somewhat tolerable. There's Famosa Dragstrip about 1 1/2 hours away. However Bakersfield has very poor air quality at times so always something to consider. Paradise is evasive lol

Good morning our weather has been below freezing all weekend and will continue with single digit highs and negative single digit lows with snow for the next three days. We then start a gradual warm up showing 54 next Monday Woo Hoo till then bundle up its winter in Kansas.
I don’t mind the wind so much in the winter because there’s no leaves on the trees. I get nervous with high winds when the leaves are all developed

GF is at 6500' Snow and all seasons. Weather is great except the flooding at monsoon season and the constant forest fires. California is definitely not on my list for so many reasons.

Just glanced at weather shows wind at 29mph. No clue what the gusts are. Been hearing them whip up pretty good at times. Wife looked up emergency log last night and there were poles down at 3 different locations within 5 or so miles. So no doubt there are trees down too.

Actually a few degrees warmer here. And I don't think wind chill applies the same if it blows you away with it.
I'm about the same but I do get the high gusts. I heard some tin roofing flapping. I hope it holds till spring
