Good morning :D

There was a guy in Carlisle that set them up to where they were actually illegal. I had one but sold it when I got out of trucking back in 1999.

I have an RCA and a Channel Master. Again I will have to see if they work because they are old.

Anything over 4 watts is a no no. And you are supposed to have a licence! LOL I had one RGU 2252! I was heavy into it in the late 70's Was fun

You can do a few small mods. Tweaking it might get 6 watts out of it. Had a radio shack base station was able to bypass a few things and went into the lower channels the Taxis used in NYC. Had a few guys with them. Pretty funny sending 20 cabs to the same place!

My brat-in-law brought a tasty surprise with him the other day. Dunkin' Donuts sells their Midnight blend ground coffee :D Perty good stuff it is. I stop at Dunkin frequently for Midnight, perty much whenever I have to go to the far side of town :D

Oh boy....Not sure it will reach out that far. But I never used it out in a flat area like that
Seems like 1-5 miles is typical and up to 20 miles with proper install and antenna set up. 1-2 mile range for every foot of antenna - per google

We used to put the CB in the Piglet/66 VW squareback and go to one of the many repeater towers scattered across the mighty Mojave desert. That extra elevation and fewer obstacles it gives, 40-50 miles not uncommon on 5w.
