Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Well, it appears we dodged the heavy snow and only going to get 2-3 inches of the dry fluffy stuff. The bitter cold and wind will only last three days and then we're ok. Heading out soon to the post office love the small-town post office texted my carrier this morning I have a small box of cards requiring a signature. Told her I'd come pick up my mail this morning, so she didn't have to drive up to the house get out get in etc... On a side note, across the street from the USPS office is a small coffee shop/bakery with the best cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted. I thought a couple of those to bring back for the wife and I sounded pretty good on a cold crappie day along with another cup or two of coffee.

Well I found the tank with 1 front vent pipe on the Tanks Inc. site, dang it! Will have to figure this out if OEM vent system used the 4 vent lines, can't even remember where the one vent line that old tank had went to, hard fuel line or ?

This is the tank I ordered, seem to remember 4 vent lines that were cut/capped when I took trunk apart, will have to dig thru parts. That's what I get taking so long on project. As far as re-using sender ring, if the guy before me didn't swap the OEM one would have a re-pop one on it now, thanks I didn't know that though, will see if one looks thicker than other.

Big issue. I have to have sold 200 of the oem ones before they dried up.

Sadly I got to unhang the pirate flag this morning. Jodi is already in the air heading home. Me and the dogs are gonna have to make some lifestyle adjustments for sure! Hah! By same token she is going from, walking the Florida beach bare foot, to possible snow today. You know for a fact you are old when your spouse has been gone a couple of weeks and your thinking woo Hoo! I bet she missed my touch, my companionship, my caress. And her reply is “I can’t wait to get home to your yummy cooking, I sure have missed it” In my best pirate voice, Arghh! Im a gonna show her whats cooking!

Here's mine. Just got started and it got cold

Yes the oem is around .020 thicker than the repops.
Here's pic of tank when it was installed (if you look closely you'll see a zip tie lol), at least I took a lot of pics, must know myself lol! For simplicity, think I'm going to send the tank back and exchange for a 1 vent, no hurry and less headaches

Totally agree. When I was building the Cuda towards the end invariably I would get frustrated with this or that and Farmeneering a solution instead of being patient. Some of the solutions I now regret and are on a list to address. Much easier to do it correctly on front end.

Well shoot, tank is a little different, instead of 1 vent line back near the sender (center of tank) it has 4 near the filler inlet. Also, angle and height of fuel filler inlet seems slightly higher on old tank (believe it had been replaced, made in Canada). Soooo, want to take another look at Tanks Inc. website, I'm probably fine, pics to follow
What year? They did a bunch of strange stuff. I recall a diagram of 4 vent tank that goes to 4 corners inside and had baffles in it.

Did you look in the hole to see where the tubes go? (Hi Karl, LOL)

Called Tanks Inc. talked to the guy and will run my vent line out of one of the 4 (2 sizes, 1/4 and 3/8 I think). If my car had the emissions I would run the 4 lines to that but they've been removed and were not connected. Tanks are identical so I'm ok with that. Also got the drivers side spring plate on correctly and pulled down to 45 ft. lbs., hope that is to be "torqued in the air" but can do them all over if needs to be on the ground. Passenger side to go, I have to run Ramcharger into town for window regulator adjustment, chip seal on one small ding and install passenger mirror I got from LMC (man I'm lazy). The pic is minus the 30 tools I tried to squeeze the Ubolts down after swap to new plates
