I hope you get rid of the cough. I have had mine for a year and a half. and finally getting to see the lung doctor next week.

Anyone remember the Tiaminic Yellow cough and congestion? I remember it was some of the most disgusting stuff on the planet, but also worked.
That stuff was awful but it worked very well. I haven’t seen that in awhile.

What is the difference between guaifenesin and expectorant?
Guaifenesin is an active ingredient in many Mucinex products. Guaifenesin is an expectorant, and so most people think of Mucinex as an expectorant. But it's only an expectorant if you see guaifenesin on the ingredients list. Expectorants thin and loosen mucus in your airways.
Wal Mart sells Guaifenesin. (I can't pronounce that one) It does work.
I just checked my Mucinex package and it says 1200MG of Guaifenesin
