Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
I think I'll skip church this morning. I need to clean up the house a little bit since my lady is coming here tomorrow. Lol. Going to head out and get some breakfast this morning. Bo ne, Small tender pieces of beef grilled with onions in a cast iron skillet,a loaf of bread, a nice little side salad...Yum

Up and down, trying to survive...

Lots of doctor visits to see what's wrong with my lungs...

I have to go for a lung biopsy in a couple weeks where they deflate a lung, and cut through my side to get some samples to analyze...

They have been in my lungs three times with a tube and camera and saline solution they put in and sucked out and analyzed and I don't have any black lungs from smoking... So far they don't know what it is, just ruling out what it isn't... But they are saying it's related to side affects from COVID as there is no history for it to be caused by anything else...

I'm a little scared of going in for it, as it's the most invasive thing I would have had done so far in my life... But I want answers and them to figure out how to fix it if they can before I have to resort to a double lung transplant...
I hope everything goes well for you Karl.

You need to spend some time in Vietnam.Lol. The food here is much better for a person's body. Every year when I come here in the winter time I will lose about 8 lb since the food is so much better and so much fresher not frozen and not with preservatives. Inevitably when I get back to America I will probably put that weight back on. But it's no problem for me. I'm 5'11 and right now 185 lb. My weight never goes over 192 or 193. But I will admit you have to exercise regularly.

I don’t know if you seen but I had hernia surgery a couple weeks back. But the diet I had to go on before and after, 600-900 calories a day, low low carb, no artificial sugars. No caffeine no pop. Tea, water and skim milk only.

Then they took my stomach and wrapped around my esophagus. So I’m limited on how much I can now eat. Takes over an hour to eat 1/4 cup of cottage cheese. Though to day, over 3 hours I was able to get an entire slice of meatloaf down and a Greek yogurt smoothie. That weight was taken after I ate too. It’s crazy.

I plan on sticking to this diet cause I feel great energy wise now. Just gotta get pass the vommiting which happens if I try to eat the wrong stuff, my body automatically kicks it back. Like 5 crackers earlier. Pain wise hurts like hell and can’t lift a gallon of water. But I’m managing.

I’m hoping to get into the 240 range. I think that’s realistic. 220 would be great.

Yes, I know about all that. Chris. Hope you heal well

So on a side topic. Anyone ever used beech trees for anything other than firewood?

Guy shows up at my shop, has some sort of willys jeep. It has a ford 460 in it. Fenders widened and hood lengthened. On a chevy chassis. Wants some work done to it.
He said it was built on some TV show years ago. I need to find it to see what was done to it.

Little Johnny and the drawing project

One morning to spice things up, teacher decided to have a classroom drawing project. One person would start, then the next student would add to the drawing. She asked the students who wanted to start first, so little Johnny raised his hand. Knowing little Johnny had a disturbed mind, she decided to pick Suzie first.

"I drew a box on the ground!" Proclaimed little Suzie.

The teacher said it was a great start, and asked the next student to add on. Ignoring little Johnny teacher chose Billy.

"I turned the box into a house!"

The teacher thought it was wonderful, and went on to Timmy.

"I added the sun to shine down onto the house!"

"Excellent" replied teacher. Still ignoring Johnny the teacher chose Jenny next.

"I added some snow on the roof because it's been such a snowy winter!"

By this point like Johnny could barely control himself. Teacher thought there was no way Johnny could ever turn this into a dirty picture, so he allowed him up to the chalk board.

"This is my dad bending over in the shower to pick up the soap!"

Morning!
-7c, rising above freezing. Think we are nearing the end of this winter. Back in the shop, see if i can square engine up, and get to work on motor and transmission mounts. Oh, and exhaust manifolds.
