Stop in for a cup of coffee

Too modern for me, but seems almost reasonable for a roller and a box of tinker toys

Interesting that you can do so much right away. For my back I had to wear a collar a few weeks and just do normal stuff. No actual PT yet. I can move pretty normal, but still 10lb limit and suposed to limit reaching/bending 6 week follow up this Thurs. Don't know if they will have me do PT or just turn me loose.
The PT is zero weight just letting the arm swing like a pendulum by swinging your hips. Not engaging muscles yet. Sounds easy, it ain’t!

Hoping this day is better, between the engine dismantle and then a terrible night of storms with my granddaughter and doughter inlaw way down in hot springs at a basketball tournament being chassed by that storm ( but we did talk them into finding a restaurant to let it pass before there 3 hour drive home) my mind and body has been on recovery mode, I believe a 1 mile walk in the morning sunshine 40 degrees, will do my body good.
Sold my intake so now I can order lifters, hopefully get the cam and lifters delivery about the same time.

Good morning

When they put my knee/leg back together, Alieve and frozen peas were my best friends. After 2 of those oxywhatevers and the following hallucinations I was done with those.

As you can imagine with my last name we too have a family tartan. In fact we have what is called traditional and modern version. Technically we are Lord and Lady as our family still owns land in Scotland. We will be back in Scotland this fall. You should have seen me explaining to Jodis family our tradition of being married under full moon in hand binding ceremony complete with broom jump. The broom must be hand made by clan member and no modern materials. Still got the broom, and still got Jodi! And we ain’t Irish! Still Scottish!
We are mostly Norwegian. Great grandmother on Dad's side was Scottish (later Ulster Scot) with ties to Dunnottar Castle in East Scotland. This is where Braveheart hid the crown jewels and burned the english soldiers alive during the war of independence.

I'm finding out about that hand tying, daughter is marrying a Scottish fellow, we are working on our rope, picking colors to add etc., find it an interesting tradition. Wifes new SMOM is a Magoon (sp) I think, can't remember her Dads

That is very cool. The more you research it the more you will appreciate the ceremony.

Oh I believe it. Not sure what was involve with yours. But for me I think more of the pain was from stuff they disturbed getting into where they actually did the work. And he said it's a lot less because they went through the front on me. Mostly just push things out of the way and not as much cutting.

I do like where the rope is coming from, late fathers crab trap. We're going to give them the float, has his name/address on it, scratched out with ours added as he gave us that trap. Daughters coming over next weekend, not sure what all her and wife are going over but it's ceremony related, May wedding

I took Oxy a couple days, but then just Tylenol. At this point I just have slight pain in middle of back, so still take the PM version at night. Not sure if that is even from the surgury - it's right where they did an epidural shot before. They said no Aleve cause it's a blood thinner.

That Alieve has it's good side, but it got some bad sides to go with it.
I think it works pretty good. I’ve mostly used Tylenol, because I had been on a blood thinner. But stopped that a while back. Before surgery I was alternating Tylenol and Aleve plus Gabapentin just to stay functional.

I still think @Petty Betty should take our stoic advice and park the Chevelle out front, tie it to a tree and put a cardboard sign on the windshield “Free to good home”
We know what happened the last time the Chevelle was parked under a tree
I understand, but what would a 50 year mopar man be if he put a 71 Monty console in his mopar be ?
It makes you crazy! :poke: But we all are here.
