Would be fun and you're always welcome here.I would have to drive the car to Fred's and spend some time with him for a project like that.
I've been trying to finish the cardboard console mock up to send him.
Hopefully this week.

I have boiled them in water to soften them up some. For a few bucks I might get a new one. This one is hard as a rock.![]()
Oh my! Hash?
We kinda did same thing, took leftover mashed taters and made potatoe cakes for brekkie this morning!
My Dad would make them. Those and his famous Jam sandwiches two pieces of bread jamed together. Its how I developed a like for plain breads maybe some butter but mostly plain I Miss him not being around. We kinda did same thing, took leftover mashed taters and made potatoe cakes for brekkie this morning!
Outstanding!!Hey gang.
Well, I got the car started... needs a bit of adjustment, but otherwise, turn-key and vroom. Oil pressure is a little high ??
Transmission is shifting correctly on jack stands.... couple of minor leaks to attend to, one at the cooler line and the purgatory at the thermostat housing.
Apparently I boogered up the Tach wiring... it's not working
Good to hear that and hope it's on the road this summer. I can see it now, an old guy with a cigar hanging out of his mouth with the top down cruising down the road with a big smile on his face.Hey gang.

Family friends, I was in my early teens, buddy was about 1 1/2 year older than me. I really don't know what Brian's IQ was, but he built a 150W stereo amp in his HS Electronics class as a freshman
. Right above the amp was a 12" reel to reel that his dad was gifted at work. All the parental units were gone one day, all 3 of the sister units were down the street playing. "I got somthin' you gotta see." Brian says. We go to the living room and he gives me a tour of the stereo system. Starts powering it up, puts a tape on the tape player, adjusts the volume on his amp, and hits the PLAY button.
. When Brian finished HS, the USAF contacted him and said "We want you at the academy." he went. Half way through his sophomore year there MIT contacted him with a very tempting offer, which he took. USAF was not happy but the $$$ quieted them down. He retired from the electronics industry in his late 20s due to a software invention of his. I should have stayed in touch with him
Outstanding!!

Man that is some retro right there, how many hours have we all spent jamming out, not even trying to talk with folks sitting beside ya, just watching the reel spin and the little lights blink enjoying the tunes like the Bose poster of the guy in the chair!
Tachs can be finicky.Hey gang.

Holy smokes! That silver faced Pioneer is pulling in quite a bit of money these days, just saw a high-powered receiver listed for around 4K. Dad had an SX-950, brother and I are keeping an eye out for it used, had his SSN engraved in it so we'd know on pics (on back). I have his Magnepans
I think it's the switched powerTachs can be finicky.
