No the lug itself
If I'm just changing a few STUDS, then I would do it without cutting the swedges. But usually on cars I restore, I put new drums on the front. So if the shoulders of the STUDS are swedged, I cut them down a little with a cutoff tool, before diving them ALL out of the front hub ...

Figure out why the brakes were pulling?
Not yet. I looked at it yesterday to see if anything was leaking. The wheel was dragging a little with rotation. I backed off the adjuster. I am going to drive it again probably today and do the backup trick to adjust and see if anything changes. I need to pull the drum off and take a look at it.................

Good morning everyone. The evening anti inflammatory sure treats me better than the prednisone. It may be the prednisone raises my BP quite a bit
Not sure exactly where your pain is. Mine was behind right shoulderblade and down back of arm. Prednisone pack was one of the first things they gave me. Don't know if it helped swelling for their pictures, but I didn't get any relief. Next was Meloxicam (anti-inflam)- nope. Therapy - nope. Gabapentin -helped some Epidural shot-helped some. And the Doc that did that told me use over the counter Aleve -better than the Meloxicam they prescribed. At that point I had the other stuff going, but I think he was right. But all that together plus Tylenol through the whole mess did not completely get rid of the nerve pain. I'd say surgery got rid of 80+% immediately and after about 3 weeks was almost completely gone. As I am getting back to using my arm more I had a nasty cramp in tricep Sunday that left me some pain behind my elbow. But otherwise I have full motion. Lifting 20+ lbs now. I won't say pain free, but close.

Thanks! My pain is up between the shoulder blades. Prednisone perscription is 5 pills every morning, but I think it is raising my BP too much. Felt horrible all day. Yesterday was first day of that. The Meloxicam is the anti inflam I take with supper. It helps much more and I sleep very well. Some of the issues I have are the pain in upper back/neck then radiate to the backs of both shoulders and to my sternum. So, arm pain, shoulder pain, hand/fingers tingling and chest pain/discomfort. Makes me paranoid about cardiac issues 24/7. Background there, 2 years ago, we chased cardiac issues. Stress tests, ultra sound, echo, EKG, etc all showing no issues. Following those tests, the Cardiologist said I don't need him. So, last year chase the nerve issue. Docs didn't listen, picked the easy button, so I walked away. Now a flare up again, almost 1 year to the day - was my Bday last year for my MRI and such. Now another MRI ordered for Thoracic spine area to know everything before moving forward.
